Can't recommend highly enough for a city break

Elegant room, delightful breakfast, where I felt like a lady of nobility and enjoyed a real treat each morning, not to mention the warm and friendly hosts who made my stay special.

    welcoming hosts
    tasty breakfast
    comfortable room
    short stay

I had a great experience during my stay. The hosts were welcoming and helpful, providing us with books and toys for my child. I found the breakfast tasty and memorable, especially when Tom went the extra mile with a drawing on our butter. The room offered comfort, and it was quiet despite being close to the airport.

I only stayed one night, which wasn't enough.

    spacious room
    delicious breakfast

The corner room provided stunning views of the garden and was spacious with a cozy bed, making it a perfect retreat. Breakfast was exceptional, featuring a delicious vegetarian full English served with French press coffee, creating a lovely communal atmosphere. The property, steeped in history, offers a quiet respite from the busy road outside, thanks to its high hedges and thick walls.

    charming place but slightly noisy

The family atmosphere made our stay warm and welcoming. The double room had a large bed that offered a fantastic night's sleep.

The sounds from other rooms could be a bit distracting at times.

great stay but needs minor tweaks

The breakfast was a standout feature, especially the delicious vegetarian options that delighted our taste buds. The room facing the back garden had a stunning view, making our stay even more enjoyable.

The historic character is charming, but some areas could use a bit of maintenance.

historic family paintings, fascinating grade 2 listed building, interesting old book collection

The communal dining area could use some modern touches to enhance comfort!!! Perhaps more diverse options in the old book collection could cater to varied interests, too!!!
